An Interview With Skadi’s One True Diva

Sometimes when I am on a run around the neighborhood, I conduct dialogues in my head.  Here I’d like to share one such conversation, in which I interviewed my rock star self.

Q: How would you describe your music?

A: Impossible to answer.  Unprecedented.

Q: What is your role in the band?

A: I have been ceremoniously crowned “diva” ever since I needed to purchase a second second-tier keyboard stand.  I try to live up to the label, mostly by arriving to practice with large sunglasses, an up-do and a smoothie (lacking small, yippy dog, though I may borrow Lindsey’s chihuahua at times).  Very Hollywood.

Q: What quote do you live by?

A: “I’m not bossy, I’m the boss.” – Beyonce Knowles

Q: What have been your biggest challenges?

A: Having boobs and vaginas.  Oh wait!  That’s not a thing anymore.  Then I’d say Candace breaking a finger every 6 months — waiting for her finger to heal is a drag.

Q: What does Skadi mean?

A: Research your Norse mythology and get back to me.

Q: What are Skadi’s goals?

A: To shred.

Q: Why an all-female band?

A: I’m sorry, do you ever ask a band “why an all-male band?”  Didn’t think so.

Q: What venues do you like to play?

A: Are you hitting on me?
